Who’s Behind the Lens?

Manon

Jacob

Hi, we are Manon and Jacob, Love-Love’s founders and lead photographers.

Your photographs should honour the atmosphere and story of your wedding, whether it’s an intimate eloping, or on an epic scale.

Manon’s background is in fashion and portraits. Her chic, editorial style, mixed with her ability to relax you and your guests for the camera means her images are effortlessly cool; contemporary, yet classically stylish.

Jacob started out as a reportage and music photographer. His skills lie in finding the offbeat moments, capturing the life and soul of the vibe as it passes around. His images are fun, idiosyncratic, and often witty.

Our combined styles create harmony. We like to usher photographic moments when they have potential, though not disrupt the flow of the party. We allow the day to unfold naturally, and we are there every step of the way to get the shots.

You put in the love for you and your guests, we give it back with the photos.

The Love-Love Philosophy

We truly love love; it's the beating heart at any great wedding. And we’re qualified to say so, because we, founders and lead photographers Manon and Jacob, are married to each other! This makes our approach to photographing your wedding pretty darn special.

We take artistic, authentic, energy-filled photographs that represent the love and emotional beauty of your wedding. We specialise in reportage photography, capturing both the carefully-planned moments, along with the off-the-cuff spontaneous gems that make the day truly unique.

We also offer something very special; a newspaper containing your wedding photos that we will send to you and your guests. More on that soon…

Our two-photographer approach means that we have diverse coverage of your wedding, starting, if you so choose, with us being with each party at your home or hotel, as you get ready before the ceremony.

Wait… 2 photographers? Yes! We will always have two of us covering your wedding. This gives you more angles during the ceremony, as well as two roaming pairs of eyes looking out for the candid moments.

Every wedding is unique, so we avoid a “house style” of shooting or colour grading. Rather, we land upon the style as the day unfolds, honouring the true aesthetic that speaks to us. As artists, we thrive on collaborating with the honesty of spontaneity, meaning your set of photographs will always be unique to you.

We pride ourselves on making genuine art out of your wedding. We are well-versed in instinctively responding to the magical, unexpected moments that make a wedding day unique. This, along with some good planning and letting us know what matters to you, will make for a great set of photos that you and your friends and family can enjoy forever.

Your wedding is about you and your guests, and you should feel present for it. We therefore make it our mission to fit in around you, getting the pictures you will love without disrupting the flow of the day.

The Love-Love Newspaper

What better way for you and your guests to enjoy your wedding photos than a bespoke newspaper? We will design them and mail them out to your guests, without you having to lift a finger. They’re great fun to leaf through, you can keep them forever and you get to hold your memories in your hand.

So, not a glossy book? Nope, not for us! We love the immediacy and cool-factor of these newspapers.

They also look great framed and hung on the wall. Down-played and a with a vintage twist, it’s a moment of history for everyone to see.

Also, just imagine future generations pouring over your beautiful newspaper!

Digital & Film

Leica make all the cameras we use, both digital and film. Leica is a world-renowned camera company, and their cameras have been used by the likes of Annie Leibovitz, Henri Cartier-Bresson and Greg Williams. Leica make incredible reportage cameras, built perfectly for candid moments. They are the original; the Rolex watch of cameras, it just doesn’t get better.

So yes, we use digital Leicas for the bulk of our work. And we also shoot film on our gorgeous analogue Leica.

We will shoot a guaranteed 2 rolls of 35mm film at your wedding. The negatives will be scanned and included in your bundle of images.

We will send you the 35mm negatives to keep, should you want to make prints from them in the future. If you’d like us to shoot more than 2 rolls of film, we’re very happy to; we can discuss all options when we talk.

Reportage

We capture the story of your wedding with reportage photography, capturing both the anticipated moments, along with the candid pieces of poetry that rise up throughout the ceremony and celebrations.

Advance Planning

During the lead-up to your wedding, we will work with you/ your wedding planner so that we can talk through any key moments that might work for photographs. We can help come up with creative ideas that suit your personality and also find a moment to steal you away for a couple shoot (normally during the reception following the ceremony).
